Fried Bean Curd – Stir Frying Recipe

Fried Bean Curd

Fried Bean Curd

Introduction:

In the spinach recipe which was posted the other day, I used fried bean curd as one of the ingredients. Only three of them were used. As a result, I had many left. And as I said before, I like them. So I came up with the simple recipe below and made something that I enjoyed.

Ingredients:

Fried bean curd: any amount that you like

Garlic cloves: 3

Vegetable oil: 10 g

Seasonings:

Salt: 3 g

Water: the amount depends on that of the bean curd.

Preparation Work:

1. Cut the fried bean curds into small triangular ones; You can just cut the rectangle-shaped curds diagonally, or cut the chopped ones in the middle another time until you are satisfied;

2. Peel and slice the garlic cloves;

Cooking Steps:

1. Preheat the vegetable oil in the wok;

2. Drop the garlic slices into the wok and swing the wok until the garlic smell is set off;

3. Add the fried bean curd into the wok and stir quickly;

4. Pour the water gradually into the wok while stirring until the wok doesn’t become dry anymore; (I like eating the ones with much water or soup.)

5. Season with salt;

6. It’s ready for serving.

Cooking Tips:

1. Simple recipes do not mean bad. On the contrary, they often have a higher ROI (return on investment). They takes less time,  less effort, and even less ingredients, and therefore less money. So it would be ideal if you can turn to some of these kind of dishes sometimes when you don’t want to spend much time on cooking.

2. This recipe consumes much water, even more than you can expect. You can add gradually little by little as stated in the recipe above. However, you don’t have to follow the recipe so strictly. You can add the water in at once. It will not ruin the recipe at all.
