Rice Porridge with Oyster Mushrooms

Introduction:

After a rain that was not heavy, the weather has become deeply cold. It’s really weird when you look back at the fact that people who are wearing thick coats today were wearing shorts the day before.

In a weather like this, a hot rice porridge would be perfect. With the oyster mushrooms that I like, it can keep my body warm. You will know what medical functions the oyster mushroom have for the human body.

Ingredients:

Polished ground-grained rice: 100 g

Oyster mushrooms: 200 g

Seasonings:

Salt: 1.5 g

Cool water: 1000 ml

Preparation Work:

1. Wash the oyster mushrooms clean, rip them into small pieces;

2. Put them into boil water for a few seconds and strain them out;

3. Rinse the rice clean, immerse it in cool water for half an hour, and strain it out after that duration;

Boiling Steps:

1. Pour the 1000 ml of cool water into a stockpot and add the rice into it;

2. Put the stockpot onto high heat;

3. Add the oyster mushroom pieces into the pot when the pot starts boiling;

4. Turn to low heat and cook it into porridge (which becomes sticky);

5. Season it with salt and cover it with a lid for a minute before enjoying it.

Tips:

The oyster mushrooms have the function of expelling “wind”, dispelling cold, stimulating the circulation of the blood and relaxing the muscles and joints.

They can cure the pains in low back and legs, deadlimb and discomfort in channels and points, especially suitable for those who are suffering from digestive diseases, cardiovascular diseases and cancers.

Therefore, this rice porridge is very good for elder people and those with those temporary symptoms.

You might not care about those so-called medical functions like me. For me, I just like eating oyster mushroom and feeling it sliding in my mouth.
