Today’s recipe is one of those steamed: steamed pumpkin with lily bulbs. You can eat this dish as the main course. You can even enjoy it together with cooked rice or other staple foods.
Ingredients:
Pumpkin: 500 g
Fresh lily bulbs: 100 g
Seasonings:
White sugar: 1 teaspoon
Preparation Work:
1. Break the lily bulbs into small pieces, wash them clean, strain them from water, and lay them into plate;
2. Wash the pumpkin clean, peel it, remove the seeds, slice it, and lay them evenly onto the lily bulbs at the bottom of the plate;
3. Spray the white sugar on the top and put the plate into a steamer;
4. Take it out from the steamer when it is steamed and serve it onto the dinning table.
Cooking Tips:
1. Put some tea leaves into the water under the steamer. This way, the finished pumpkin will come out very soft without foreign flavor.
2. Adding some wolfberries (which are red) on the top will enrich the color and nutritional combination of this dish.
