Stir Fried Baby Bok Choy with Shiitake Mushrooms

Stir Fried Baby Bok Choy and Shiitake Mushrooms
Introduction:
Another Chinese vegetarian dish that only takes you a few minutes to cook is to be introduced today. Before we come to the specific details about the recipe itself, we need to say something about this dish. It is composed of two very popular vegetables, or rather ingredients, which we have used in other recipes listed on this website.
Personally, I like the matching of the colors of these two ingredients. Do you?
Ingredients:
Baby Bok Choy: 250 g
Shiitake mushrooms: 10 mushrooms
Seasonings:
Salt: 2 g
MSG: 1 g
Starch: 1 teaspoon
Salad oil: 30 g
Garlic: 1 clove
Preparation Work:
1. Mince the garlic clove;
2. Wash the baby bok choy and shiitake mushrooms clean, and cut each of them into four pieces by cutting two times vertically on the cross-section;
3. Immerse the split ingredients (bok choy and shiitake) into boiling water and take them out when they are softened.
Cooking Steps:
1. Put the wok on high heat or full flame;
2. Pour the salad oil in the wok when it gets dried;
3. Drop the minced garlic into the wok when the oil gets hot;
4. Drop the scalded bok choy and mushrooms into the wok immediately and stir fry quickly;
5. Add in the seasonings including salt and MSG while stirring;
6. Thicken the liquid with starch melt in water;
7. Dish out and ready for serving.
Cooking Tips:
The baby bok choy needs to be scalded in hot water because it very difficult for the bottom part to be softened with stir frying. Boiling water steps in here because it is a better way to soften vegetables.
