Back from Chinese Spring Festival Holidays

happy Chinese spring festival
You must have known that seven days ago, it was a big time for the Chinese people all over the world. I drove for 27 hours and sit in the newly build train express for 11 hours, and took another 1 and 1/2 hours before I came to the village where my parents live right now. We visited our friends and relatives during the spring festival. Of course, we cooked and ate different kinds of modern and traditional local foods.
I have to say sorry first for not having announced my leave for the last two weeks. I had thought that the posts would have gone as usually because I took for granted that I would have access to the Internet back at my parents’. However, things didn’t go as I had expected.
That is to say, I have lived for two weeks without Internet. That is a miracle during the modern times of Internet. However, I would suggest my readers who are reading this blog post to try this lifestyle for a few days. You will find out that life will continue with the modern technologies that we have been accustomed to. Indeed!
Without the Internet, I went to bed earlier than ever. That was good for me to recoup myself for the upcoming new year.
I may not have mentioned about it. But my parents are enjoying fresh vegetables given by neighbors and relatives in the village who plant vegetables in the plastic tunnels (Something like greenhouses). Every time I go home, I can enjoy the fresh vegetables even in winter.

Vegetable Plastic Tunnel
I remember when my parents were occupied with our plastic tunnel before. They had got to get up early before sunrise. They had spent so much effort in fostering the vegetables that they can grow well and sell at a good price.
Things haven’t changed much ever since. The only progress is that mechanical equipment are used to make things easier.
The food that I ate so frequently that I didn’t want to eat any more is dumpling.
Dumplings are the traditional Chinese food that is used for special occasions such as festivals and special days such as birthdays. That is because of it’s shape which look like ingot which was made of silver or gold for money in the ancient China.
Each time when I go to my parents’, my mom will make dumplings for me. And when I leave, she would make them, too. In addition, they are also eaten during the Spring Festival. And I only stay there for a week or two. Most of the meals that I attend are made up of dumplings. However, I can not complain because my mother is doing what she can. And I know every dumpling contains her love for me.
