I totally agreed with you, cause I cooked chinese vegetables food every day. I felt that the more vegetables I had, the better health condition I owned. Thank you so much.

I love sweet potatoes and at this time I'm living in southern China in Guangxi just north of Viet Nam. When you consider my favorite meal being purple and orange sweet potatoe with an orange squash soup you can tell I like to eat my veggies. If you would like to know my recipe it is so easy like yours and I just cut them up into small pieces in a pot of water with some oregano and basil and some sea veggies and I just buy these rounds and put them into the processor and add what I like for flavoring. I always have a small jar of this sea veggie sitting next to my stove and even use it in my rice which is a dark brown color since it's difficult to find the regular brown rice like we enjoy in the states. But I've grown to love the flavor and of course i like to put cloves of garlic in to cook with my rice as well and then you would see me pouring the "root soup" over a bed of rice and what a meal.
but then you may feel I'm a guy that can eat the same thing over and over and love it. but today just plain steamed broccoli, carrots and purple potatoes for lunch and of course I wash it down with the water i use to steam them with. Thankss for the info I've got you on favorites so see you again sometime

Jicama is not new to me at all but Jicama as a porridge is. Really? I'm just having a hard time picturing it cooked. I eat it raw.
In Mexico it's treated more as a fruit. So I eat it sliced with a little bit of lime and salt on it. Try mixing it up with your fruit bowl. It's delicious!

I am planning to do videos as you suggested for the recipes that I like the best and put it in the corresponding posts together with the written recipe. But I needs to learn some video making skills first. So this might need some time before they are finished.

Thanks for you advice again.

Great article, thank you. I am very interested in finding a diet that lowers my sugar intake. I currently have a sweet-tooth, and am finding it difficult to find meal plans, what to eat for snacks, etc. While diabetes is not something that runs in my family, I am still concerned and would like to be smart and take a proactive approach to my health.

Thanks for your comment, David. I usually buy dried wood ear mushrooms, also known as Auricularia auricula-judae, in supermarkets. They are normally available in the section where other mushrooms are on shelf. Hope this helps. By the way, the recipe that you mentioned is very interesting.

Oh man this looks divine. I love mushrooms, where can I get wood ear shrooms though? I am going around trying to find a bunch of vegetarian recipes. I am doing my best to stay vegetarian. The best looking one I found so far is this Roquefort tart, only problem is that it has no pictures.
